This piece was a challenge to carve, multi-layering of the distinctive formation within the nut allowed the unique characteristic's to be expressed in this picturesque stone.

Created from Koroit opal nuts nestled together in a conglomerate of ironstone and siltstone. 

Featuring one half of the inside of one of these nuts exposing the wonder of patterns and array of colours within.measurements: 7cm height x 5.5cm length.
